Day (minus 2)

The date quickly approaches! In fact, our flight leaves in just 2 days. I can't believe it's already here. I think we have everything we need, we're just waiting for the last few items to be delivered. Since we bought a new tent, we need to spray it with bug spray, as well as spray our camp clothes. Have you guys ever used Permethrin? It's great stuff. You just spray it on, and it lasts through 6 washes. We have used it several times: on our trip to Belize, and both our previous tours. So far it's worked very well.

Anyways, with just a few last minute things to do before we leave on our grand adventure, I have to admit that I'm getting really excited. When Matt mentioned this trip in July, it seemed so far away (I know, it's not really that long, but there were so many things going on between then and now). And now it's here, and it's going to be beautiful and amazing, and I can't wait.

As you can see from the picture, the living room is a wreck. It's actually causing me some anxiety, and I will be relieved when everything is packed up and ready to go and I can see my floor again :)

We'll be trying our best to update this journal often, keeping all you loyal readers up to date on where we are and the amazing things we're seeing in New Zealand.
